The Punjab government has officially announced that summer vacation for all schools in the province will begin on May 28, 2025.
This decision comes as a response to the extreme heatwave currently affecting the region. Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat shared the news on social media, saying the holidays are being declared early to protect students from rising temperatures.

To keep students safe before the summer break, the Punjab government has also changed school timings starting May 21, 2025. All schools will now open from:

This new schedule ensures that students leave school before the hottest part of the day.
